Sturdy chestnut posts for natural fencing
Like the 12/14 cm, the chestnut post 14/16 cm peeled and spiked is often used in natural fencing. This can be used in combination with sheep wire or in a simpler fence with only pointed or smooth wire. The sturdy and substantial size gives the posts a tough character. Due to their thickness, chestnut posts stand very firmly in the ground and also last for quite some time.
Durability class chestnut posts
Chestnut falls in durability class II: depending on their use and what type of soil they are set in, the posts can last up to 10-20 years. As a chestnut corner post, the posts with a diameter of 14-16cm can also provide strong reinforcement for a natural fence.
